The road of life twists and turns and no two directions are ever the same. Yet our lessons come from the journey, not the destination.

New Schedule, New Study Habit

Although it's hard for me waking up early in the morning, I enjoy my new schedule. Before, our college used to have the afternoon until evening schedule because of some conflicts (in terms of the classrooms in our building because we share the Albertus Magnus Building with the Education and Music), but now we already have morning classes. Mondays,Wednesdays, and Fridays start at 7 or 8 a.m. and end 2 p.m. while Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10 to 7 p.m. This one is alright. Hmm. I love my schedule because I get to go home early unlike before that we have to take extra care of ourselves because it is already dangerous to go home especially for us coming from Manila. The LRT-2 is a great thing, but the whole travel time kills me. Rush hour. Pollution. Lots of tired and stressed people around, including myself. So, thanks to the Lord we have a new schedule that would give me enough time to study, rest, and do some extra stuff that I like.

This new schedule also means another thing, that I must change and IMPROVE my study habits. I do study hard but this time, I promise to study harder and have more focus. Although I was able to make it on the dean's list, I am still dreaming of becoming the top because of the refund of tuition fee. It may sound impossible because of the big population of our batch, but I pray to the Lord and I know that nothing is impossible with Him. I made it already in there so why not push through with getting high grades and really get the highest rank. It will be a great help for my parents and it will serve as my gift to them for doing everything for me.

Thank God it's Friday

Thank God it is Friday, again. Time goes by so fast. It was just this week that we started our second semester classes and now it is weekend again. Weekends are my favorite. Anyway, I had a great time with the first two days in school. Although we didn’t meet all our professors yet, I am still hoping that all of them would be good to us, really good to us.

I am praying that this semester would be a better one.

What keeps me excited about weekends? My sideline! J Yes, I have this sideline and I’m enjoying it although I’m not earning a lot yet, I’m enjoying selling products, beautiful products to clients. If ever you want to buy fashion products, you can check out my stuff.

And yes, I enjoy weekends because it is the only time I can rest and unwind after a tiring week in school. I enjoy it even more when I spend it with my dearest best friend. Although during weekends we still have appointments like my sideline and some other stuff, it is already our perfect time to bond and unwind and go to places and have fun.

Simple things we must appreciate and thank God. Thank You God for the time, time to rest, to be with him, to relax and unwind, to travel and have fun. Thank You God for the provisions, for the daily strength, for the protection, for the guidance, for the time I spend with my family, for everything.

Tuesday

Tuesday. I was fixing my things for the garage sale we’re planning to have on November or December. I have to arrange all my papers and school things from the previous semesters. I was doubtful on keeping them or throwing them away. The reason I want to keep them is because during those semesters, I really had a hard time accomplishing them. Imagine, every paper, task, assignment the professors give us, I make it to a point that I exert all my best effort in them. So, I was hesitant to throw them and of course, I can still use them because most of them are my language courses like Spanish, Nihongo, and French. BUT, still, if I keep those, it will just eat some of my space. This time I don’t want so many things to keep especially when the typhoon Ondoy struck our house, most of my things were lost so I was thinking of just keeping those that are really needed, in school, work, or anything.

So, I just thought of having my papers and school things and activities posted in my blog. That way, I can easily locate them and still have fun reminiscing in those times when I was a frustrated student eager to finish those freaking tasks.

devotion

Last Saturday, I went to the mall with my boyfriend to buy a book that I can use in Sunday School. We bought the book 60-Minute Messages for Children. I am teaching the kids in or church and I thought of changing my way and style of teaching. I was actually having a hard time at first since the kids already know me and they treat me as a friend and "ate" and not as a teacher. So, it was hard because they talk to me as if we are just "barkadas" and they won't even listen to me whenever I tell them to keep quiet. Another thing, they already know the bible stories that I teach them and I think they are getting bored whenever I tell them the stories. I think I treat them the wrong way. They're already thinking like mature adults so I just thought of changing my style. I decided to teach deeper lessons although if you read the book I bought, it is so simple that it's like it is being used for preschoolers. But it caught my attention especially the themes of each lesson. I can also still relate the lesson to bible stories.

Yesterday, Sunday, was a good day. I started teaching the kids and I felt they enjoyed our lesson. Hopefully, I would be able to include some fun and creative activities to enhance the learning and skills of the kids.

I also enjoyed looking at the devotional books at Vine and the Branches bookstore. I feel that there is already a need to spend most of my time with God. I'm planning to buy devotional books. It is really fun to read and you will enjoy it. Whenever I read those kinds of books, I feel very inspired and I feel confident that God is with me. So, I decided then to buy those books and give them as presents to my friends. In that way, I can help them build a stronger relationship with God.

random thoughts

Monday. I'm here at Netopia at Robinson's Metro East. I have nothing to do at home so I just thought of going here, buy some stuff for school, and surf the net. Our regular class was moved on Thursday so I still have two more days to rest and prepare myself for another semester.

This second semester we will hav our events management. Sounds a lot of fun but it's definitely another course full of action, adventure, and lots of stress. Yeah! Just like what I've experienced last semester on our Tour and Travel Operations and Management. And this time, I don't want to be the Committee head. Enough of this thing.

I still finding ways on how to earn. Naaaah! What can I do?
